Wairere Nursery Ltd is a family run bromeliad and succulent nursery located in Waitakere, Auckland, NZ.

Wairere are highly regarded as an experienced growers – our wholesale nursery and business has been established for over 15 years. We grow outdoor landscape grade plants, bromeliads, and succulents and supply our plants throughout New Zealand. Our range includes old favourites and more recent additions such as Dasylirion longissimum, Alcantarea (Giant Bromeliad) and Neoregelia.

We've set up this site as a tool for our customers, trade clients, & landscapers, providing an online source of knowledge, photographs, and growing information for the plants we grow & sell. Please use this site as a planting guide and current stock list.

Quality Bromeliads and Landscape Plants

We've found that bromeliads and succulents are suitable for growing in a wide range of conditions (many more than we initially thought). There are so many microclimates within New Zealand, that we've had to provide a general guide only. We find that as long as the drainage is good and there's sufficient light, then succulents will adapt to most conditions.
